CNA Exam Express Prep Class FAQ

  • A: A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides hands-on care to patients, helping with personal activities like bathing, feeding, mobility, and taking vital signs. CNAs are vital members of the healthcare team, working closely with nurses to support patient care.
  • A: Yes. We are licensed through the Florida Department of Health and recognized by the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), ensuring our program meets state and national standards.
  • A: A traditional CNA class typically spans several weeks and may include clinical hours. Our 2-day Express Prep focuses specifically on the skills tested on the Florida CNA exam, hands-on practice, and test-taking strategies. It’s especially effective for students with some healthcare background—but everyone is welcome.
  • A: No healthcare experience is required. However, students must be 16 years or older and hold a high school diploma or GED to enroll.
  • A: You must be at least 16 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. While anyone can register, motivated learners with some familiarity with healthcare often have the most success.
  • A: Tuition is $275 total, with a $100 deposit required to secure your spot. All payments are non-refundable, but you may transfer your registration once to a future class date if needed.
  • A: Yes. You can purchase an official study guide and a skills practice kit—each for $45, or both together for $80. These are optional but highly recommended for extra practice and confidence-building.
  • A: No. All payments are non-refundable. Since seat availability is limited, we encourage students to confirm their availability before registering.
  • A: Yes. You will receive a Certificate of Completion from Carter’s Competent Care. This is not a state CNA license—you must pass the Florida CNA state exam to be officially certified.
  • A: The Florida CNA exam has two parts: a Written (or Oral) section (90 minutes) and a Clinical Skills section (approximately 31–40 minutes).
  • A: Be sure to bring two valid forms of ID (one with a photo and signature), non-skid closed-toe shoes, and any documentation provided by Prometric.
  • A: Register online with Prometric using the Florida Nurse Aide application. After review, they’ll email you with instructions to schedule your exam at a testing center: Prometric Florida Nurse Aide Exam Registration
  • A: Most candidates receive their results within 48 hours. Your official score report will be available at: https://scorereports.prometric.com
  • A: Yes. Florida allows up to three exam attempts. If unsuccessful after three tries, you must complete an approved CNA training program before retesting.
  • The total cost for the Florida CNA exam is $155, which includes both the written (or oral) portion and the clinical skills portion. Individually, the written portion is $35, and the clinical skills portion is $120. These fees are paid directly to Prometric and are separate from your training costs.
