By booking a class with Carter’s Competent Care Medical Training Academy, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Payment Policy

• All deposits and purchases are final and non-refundable.

• CNA Exam Express Prep Class: A $100 deposit is required to secure your seat. The remaining balance is due no later than one (1) week before your class date.

• CPR-AED classes must be paid in full at the time of booking.

• Florida 40-Hour Home Health Aide (HHA) Online Training must be paid in full at registration and is 100% non-refundable.
   

2. Attendance & Punctuality

• Students are expected to arrive on time, in professional attire, and prepared for class.

• Late arrivals may not be admitted and may be required to reschedule at the staff's discretion.

• No-Call / No-Show Policy:
  Failure to attend your scheduled CNA Exam Express Prep class without notifying us in advance will result in automatic cancellation. Students are responsible for reaching out to reschedule, and a rescheduling fee may apply at our discretion.
   

3. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Enrollment Removal

• Cancellations for in-person courses must be made at least 7 days prior to your class date.

• Failure to pay the remaining balance for the CNA Exam Express Prep Class by the deadline will result in unenrollment and forfeiture of your deposit.

• Carter’s Competent Care reserves the right to reschedule, modify, or cancel a class if needed (weather, emergencies, or instructor availability). Students will be contacted promptly if any changes occur.
   

4. Course Completion, Certification & Important Clarification

• Carter’s Competent Care is not an official Florida CNA testing site.

• We provide exam preparation training only and are not affiliated with Prometric as a testing center.

• Completing the CNA Exam Express Prep Class does not certify you as a CNA.

• Students must independently:

  • Register for the Florida state CNA exam through Prometric

  • Complete a Level II background screening

  • Meet all requirements outlined by the Florida Board of Nursing and Prometric

• Our American Heart Association-approved instructor will issue CPR-AED certification upon successful completion.

• Florida 40-Hour HHA Online Training:

  • Students will receive course access by email within 1–2 business days.

  • Students have 30 calendar days from the date of enrollment to complete the training.

  • No extensions will be granted under any circumstances.

  • A Certificate of Completion from Carter’s Competent Care (with the Care Courses logo) will be issued once all course requirements are met.
     

5. Practice Materials
Optional items such as the CNA State Exam Practice Kit and Study Guide may be purchased at our office before or after your class session.

6. Technology Requirements for Online Training For HHA Online Training:

• Students must have access to a computer or laptop and a reliable internet connection.

• Completion of the course on a mobile phone is discouraged as it may affect performance or progress tracking.

• Students are responsible for ensuring their device meets system requirements.
   

7. Communication

• Students are responsible for checking their email and phone for class reminders, payment confirmations, and online training login details.

• Failure to review communication does not exempt students from deadlines or requirements.

8. Student Conduct & Dismissal
Carter’s Competent Care reserves the right to dismiss any student who:

• Disrupts the learning environment

• Fails to comply with safety or professionalism standards

• Exhibits disrespectful or inappropriate behavior

Dismissal does not qualify the student for a refund or course credit.

9. Liability Disclaimer
By enrolling, you agree that Carter’s Competent Care, its instructors, and affiliates are not liable for:

• Your test results

• Any decision made by Prometric or the Florida Board of Nursing

• Employment outcomes

• Personal property lost or damaged on-site
   

Your enrollment confirms that you understand training does not guarantee exam success or certification. By proceeding with your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full.
